Got a ride or trail to share ?

Kaintuck Trail west of Rolla Mo is an off-road, hilly, rocky, rutted, creek-filled 14 mile treasure in the Mark Twain National Forest.  There is a 175' natural bridge with a creek running under it and large enough to walk through.  The trails are both rough and steep in areas and meandering  and pine-covered on  ridgetops.  There is a  huge drained pond with a spring that flows 3 million gallons a day.  The trails are marked well and easily followed with a map from the Forest website.  One more note, the trail is multi-use, bikes must yield to horses. If you have some fat tires, and one, or better two, shocks on your ride, the Kaintuck is a fun and challenging trail.

Possum Hollow Ride  is a fun and hilly road ride south of Farmington.  Parking at Engler Park and pedaling East to H Hwy.  Cross H Hwy onto Copenhagen and follow that to a right turn onto Old Fredericktown. Turn right at Possum Hollow and continue on a hilly ride to DD Hwy at Knob Lick.  Make a left on DD for a short distance then a left  on Knob Lick Rd.  Follow Knob Lick Rd. to a left back onto  Old Fred. where you can follow back to Engler Park.  This ride is about 24 miles, has some houses with some dogs, but is a good example of rural riding around the Parkland.

My granny started cycling at 97 years old.  She has been doing ten miles per day - and now we don't know where the heck she is!
